Our Gingerbread Liège Waffles start with the same handcrafted, dough-based recipe that defines all of our waffles — slow-fermented and made with 83% European-style butter, pure vanilla extract, and imported Belgian pearl sugar. As they bake on our traditional cast-iron Belgian waffle irons, the pearl sugar caramelizes into a golden, crackly crust.
Then we add a seasonal twist:
ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and brown sugar — the comforting spices of Belgian Christmas markets and European winter bakeries.
